How I’d Improve the Twitter iPhone App

No Comments Code Snippets

Recently, I started using Twitter’s native iPhone app. Overall, I really enjoy it, but there’s one thing about it that drives me just nuts: The settings screen(s).

Now, getting to the Settings screen is pretty easy: You simply click on the ubiquitous “there’s more over here” button and then under the “Lists” heading you’ll find the “Accounts and Settings” button. Got it. Now, once you get into the settings screen, you get this:

Now, at a glance you’d think that tapping on OpnSrce would take me to the settings screen for that account. Nope. Instead I’m taken back to the Twitter feed for that account.

To actually get to the settings screen for the account, you have to click on the tiny settings button in the lower left corner

I personally just find the way this was laid out really confusing. If I could make changes, I’d have the list of accounts link to the settings page for that individual account. </rant>
