Fire Systems and Stone Temple Pilots

A couple days ago, the building managers where I worked decided to test the fire alarm system. Other than the usual bells and whistles that accompany such tests, the radio kicked on over the PA and the Stone Temple Pilots began blaring through the speakers. Funny as it was, it would have been much more appropriate if, say, Smoke on the Water began playing. However, I must admit that, ever since I failed miserably at the song while playing Guitar Hero, I can only ever hum it in tune with the keys I was supposed to press on the guitar.
In other fire prevention news, my new smoke alarm is about as sensitive as an asthmatic at a bowling alley. While Bryan and I were making nachos tonight the darn thing went off at least ten times. You would have thought we were praying for rain the way Bryan was "ceremoniously" waving the top of a storage bin under the smoke alarm. No rain. Just silence. The biggest shame is that I signed something saying I wouldn't damage it. I really need to read those contracts more carefully.
